THE LANDscape of church life in scotland is changing

Many new and smaller churches are now reaching the nation for Christ. The revitalisation of churches in Scotland, and the re-evangelisation of our nation, is increasingly reliant on new and often young pastors and fledging congregations.

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT

Looking back over the last decade, more young pastors are coming through training and equipping centres such as Cornhill Glasgow (Proclamation Trust), Edinburgh Theological Seminary and Oak Hill London. These new pastors have great enthusiasm and passion for the Lord’s work.

 

However, they may also find themselves dealing with the revitalisation of a church with a very small congregation or in a new church plant.​ This can often lead them to feel isolated and overwhelmed under the pressures. Personal growth in Christ can seem secondary.
